California Primary Care Association Amplifies its Impact by Walking its Talk

In March, the California Primary Care Association announced a new and exciting leadership restructuring that included the promotion of five instrumental women within the organization. CPCA CEO Carmela Castellano-Garcia has long emphasized the importance of advancing women in the workplace and demonstrated her commitment by walking the talk in her own organization. These promotions also demonstrate the value of “growing your own” leaders and highlight women in leadership playing a pivotal role in organizational development and overall organizational strength.

Congratulations to CPCA’s impressive women leaders – Val Sheehan, Senior Vice President and Chief Program Officer; Sandy Birkman, Vice President of Finance; Andie Martinez Patterson, Vice President of Government Affairs; Ginger Smith, Vice President of Health Center Operations; and Kearsten Shepherd, Director of Development and External Relations.
