Welcome to the Team, Asra, Nick, and Mikayla!

Mar 16, 2021

Integrated Work is delighted to welcome three new staff members to our team! Asra Riaz, Mikayla Branz, and Nick Delgado joined us recently, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have more wonderful people accompany us on our journey. Here’s a little more about why we love them:

Asra Riaz | Senior Consultant

What are you most passionate about and why?
I am most passionate about being a mother and raising happy, well-balanced children.

What attracted you to Integrated Work?
Integrated Work was the perfect synergy of my past experiences with PCAs and hospitals.  I love that I have something relevant to bring to the table but also much opportunity to grow.  I love Integrated Work’s strong relationship to Community Health Centers and commitment to serving others.

What achievement are you most joyful about?
It may sound silly, but when I can create a new recipe and watch my family eat; that is when I feel incredible joy.

What are you looking forward to?
I look forward to achieving my potential in assisting public health.  We have been deficient in the public health sector as a country and our outcomes during the pandemic demonstrated that.

What do you do for fun?
I love to spend time with my circle of girlfriends, some of whom have been in my life for over 25 years.  And by spending time, I mean eating.

What we love about Asra:
We love Asra’s positive energy, warmth, her love for being a mom and a friend. As well as her passion for improving community health and her commitment to the mission of health centers.

Nick Delgado | Digital Design Specialist

What are you most passionate about and why?
I am most passionate about helping underserved communities. I believe everyone has the right to healthcare and other basic needs. Finding a way to assist and better people’s lives through design is what keeps me motivated.

What attracted you to Integrated Work?
When I saw the type of leadership Integrated Work is trying to get out into the world and the focus on people first, I knew I wanted to be a part of their team.

What are you looking forward to?
I am looking forward to growing into my role then branching out and finding new ways I can contribute to Integrated Work’s goals.

What do you do for fun?
My hobbies include skateboarding, rock climbing, and video gaming. Me and my girlfriend are always looking for new food to try.

What we love about Nick:
We love Nick’s gentle nature, creative design for Integrated Work that complements the best of our look and feel. We also love his research-driven work, creativity, and a new perspective on how to use design to serve our purpose.  And lastly, his care for the people who he is designing for, and his passion for enriching people’s lives through design

Mikayla Branz | Consultant

What are you most passionate about and why?
Building anti-racist health systems that actually work for people! I believe healthcare is a human right and we need to create the structures and environments that lead to racial justice and all other kinds of social justice. I want to be part of changing the status quo and shifting power.

What attracted you to Integrated Work?
I was hooked when I learned about the Integrated Work ideals because they match up so well with my ideal workplace. I love the idea and practice of bringing your full self to work as a strength and tool rather than a liability. I wanted to be surrounded by awesome people who are on a growing path too, and I’m happy to report that’s just what I’ve found here!

What achievement are you most joyful about?
I learned how to run during the pandemic! I surprised myself by running my first 10k around a park in St. Louis.

What are you looking forward to?
Finishing my dual master’s degrees in social work and public health in May. I can’t wait to be focusing on meaningful work in one place full-time. Also (obviously), I’m eagerly awaiting the end of the global pandemic.

What do you do for fun?
I have a quarantine-induced obsession with DIY dip manicures that takes up way too much of my time. My other hobbies include cooking, running, hiking, jigsaw puzzles, grooming my ridiculously fluffy cat, and spending quality time with friends and family.

What we love about Mikayla:
We love Mikayla’s warm personality, solid facilitation and project leadership skills, motivation, and her passion for equity.
