Integrated Work is delighted to welcome Sofia Gonzalez to our team. Here’s a little more about Sofia and why we love having her on the team:
What are you most passionate about and why?
I love doing community equity and social justice work. As an immigrant and a woman of color, I’ve been immersed in different cultures and nationalities. I’ve seen how diversity adds value to every aspect of my life and want to share that perspective with those I meet.
I know that the work is not always easy, and the conversations are not always comfortable, but I’ve been able to grow in that hardship and discomfort. It has been the most rewarding and most difficult part of my personal development.
What attracted you to Integrated Work?
As a student of Organizational Leadership, I found Integrated Work to have a unique and interesting structure. I wanted to get into consulting, but I also wanted to find a place that was innovating and pushing the barriers of what workplace culture could be.
Through a handful of conversations with team members I thought I had found the perfect place, and now that I’m here I really believe it!
What makes you most joyful?
Throughout the pandemic I’ve had a big awakening on the parts of life that bring me joy. I’ve learned that the most important thing for me is to have human connection with others. I like heated debates, belly-laughing with friends, and even a good cry session. Being with those I love is my greatest bliss.
What are you looking forward to?
I really want to start on some new projects on social media. I have so many ideas on how we can increase brand awareness and have tons of fun doing it.
Also, I want to meet everyone’s pets. I really like animals.
What do you do for fun?
I have way too many hobbies. In the summer I like to garden on my little balcony, go glamping, read books, watch documentaries and more. I’m always up for doing something new, even if I’m bad at it.
